Geminiani String Quartet
Made of leader musicians of the Camerata Geminiani, the GSQ rivisited the quartet repertoire, going from Vivaldi to Piazzolla, from a different point of view, with an intense personality, and a unique sound. The Geminiani String Quartet performs using the original frequency, which gives back its natural harmony to the music, the performers, and, last but not least, to the listeners, for a quite nonpareil musical experience.
Gian Marco Sanna
first violin
Founder of The Geminiani Project, and leader of the Camerata Geminiani, he has an interesting international experience as an orchestra leader, as a chamber music performer, and as a soloist.
He is also a passionate teacher, and amongst his collaborations there are important names like Mikhail Bezverkhny, Roberto Valdes, Felice Cusano, James Dahlgren, and Hugues Borsarello.
Simona Buineviciute
second violin
Second leader of the Camerata Geminiani, she has a Master at Royal College of Music of London; valid violinist, Simona can be an orchestra leader, a chamber musician, and a soloist. She participated to many international masterclasse with Ulf Hoelcher, Katalin Sebestyen, Petru Munteanu, Sasha Rozhdestvensky, amongst others. Invited regularly to international music festivals, she is also a dedicated teacher.
Olesya Sablina
cello
Principal cello of the Camerata Geminiani, Olesya studied at the Tchaikovsky conservatory of music of Moscow, and at the Royal College of Music of London with renowned professors like V. Klishin, N. Shakhovskaya, A. Chaushian; winner of many national and international competition, and of the "Young Talent of Russia" in 2007, she also won the second prize at the "Togliatti International Competition for Young Students".
Evgeniya Zubova
viola
Principal Viola of the Camerata Geminiani, Evgeniya started playing the viola when she was 7 years old; after Novosibirsk Special Music School, she entered the Tchaikovsky conservatory of Moscow, where she graduated under the guide of R. Balashov. Already a member of the "Rusquartet", she participated at numerous masterclasses with renowned names like Y. Bashmet, H. Guittart, L. Sohn, D. Fershtman, Lafayette String Quartette, amongst others.
